Rayuvtsi Village
A small, unknown and hidden among the folds of the Deer Balkan village is Rajuvtsi, where natural beauties, sanctuaries, legends, aroma of tranquility and world cultural monuments are gathered in a handful of places. A place that once you visit, you feel like home. ❤️
Here is also the only monument of the fearsome and legendary Valchan voivode in our country. In full height of white stone, rises the voivode, with a gold chain and standing on gold. Legends about the courage of his squad and the countless riches seized by the enslavers and distributed for the freedom of Bulgaria and the education of the Bulgarians are told to this day. ❤️
You will be fascinated by the “Rajuv Stones” – the Bulgarian version of the world-famous Stonehenge. One cannot help but be amazed at the appearance and size of the raised stones, forming a perfect circle. They are huge chunks of stone inscribed with thoughts, poems, ancient signs and faces. ✨
The chapel of St. Petka Tarnovska was built here, next to the century-old oak, which seems to guard and protect the chapel. Legends say that this place was created by God and charged with positive and miraculous power, and you can’t help but feel it when you visit. ⛪️ ✝️
Enjoy this magical corner of Bulgaria!
